Air India, flydubai deal adds 52 destinations via Dubai
New links span Europe, Middle East, Africa and CIS markets
DUBAI – Air India and flydubai have entered into a two-way interline partnership, opening up a wider range of international connections for passengers travelling across their networks.
The agreement enables Air India customers to reach 52 additional destinations on flydubai’s network through Dubai. At the same time, flydubai customers will gain access to 69 destinations served by Air India via Delhi and Mumbai.
The partnership combines an interline arrangement with a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA), allowing passengers to connect between the two airlines’ networks through key hubs. The expanded connectivity covers destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Southeast Asia.

Air India-flydubai deal
For Air India passengers, the agreement adds 52 destinations available through flydubai’s Dubai network. These comprise six destinations in Africa, two in the CIS, 23 in Europe and 21 across the Middle East.
Dubai will serve as the connecting point for Air India customers travelling onwards to these destinations on flydubai services. The arrangement broadens the range of cities accessible to Air India passengers without requiring the airline to operate its own flights to every destination covered by the partnership.
The European network represents the largest share of the additional destinations, with 23 locations included in the arrangement. The Middle East follows with 21 destinations, while six destinations are covered in Africa and two in the CIS.
Two-way network
The agreement also works in the opposite direction, giving flydubai customers access to 69 destinations across Air India’s network. Passengers can connect through Delhi and Mumbai, which will act as gateways to destinations served by the Indian carrier.
These connections cover India as well as destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, creating additional options for flydubai passengers travelling beyond its own network.
The two airlines’ networks therefore complement each other through three major connecting points. Dubai provides Air India passengers with access to flydubai destinations, while Delhi and Mumbai open Air India’s wider network to flydubai customers.
The interline and SPA arrangement expands the destinations available through both carriers, giving passengers more connection possibilities across several major international travel markets.
